Balachandra Prabhu’s first Hindustani Classical Concert in Mumbai

Balachandra Prabhu’s magical voice with Shri Kiran Kamath’s harmonium accompaniment held Mumbai audience totally spellbound. The occassion was very special. It was his first classical concert in Mumbai. Radio Idli had the privilege of organizing his first ever performance in Mumbai, which was left its resonance in the Devotional Genre at the Kurla Balaji Mandir. We bring to you the complete video of this equally historic concert. The quality of his performance that you hear will certainly be more superlative than our description here.

Archana’s bhajan Archana at Dahisar Shri Kashi Matth

Radio Idli’s first and favorite artist – Archana Kamath, performed her magical spell of bhajans at the lotus feet of Shrimad Sudhindra Teertha Swamiji. She performed at the divine occassion of His Holiness’ Chaturmaas at Dahisar Shri Kashi Matth Samsthan. As always, for our delight she has immediately uploaded the videos and shared it right here… Listen and Be Blessed! Jai Shri Krishna!

Magic of Puttur Narasimha Nayak – Naanena Madideno | Vollano Krishna

The magic of Puttur Narasimha Nayak continues its flow through this third part of a memorable concert rendered by him at Mumbai. Radio Idli brings to you two videos – First a masterpiece – Vollano Krishna in Rag Malkauns (Hindolam in Carnatic) and Naanena Madideno in Rag Des.

Shrinivas and Brahmi Shenoy – Mumbai concert

Young and talented Shrinivas Shenoy was introduced to us sometime back by his father Guruduth Shenoy. We have five videos of yet another spectacular performance of Shrinivas and his Sister Brahmi at Shri Ram Mandir Wadala, Mumbai. Listening to his rendition, it doesn’t take time to guess that his gifted voice and talent has its origin in a family that has always been doing seva to the Lord with their voice. Shrinvas’ Grandfather was a Bhajan veteran and his mother is a gifted singer too. The stage of Wadala, Shri Ram Mandir has given its due support to encourage and catch the artist young.

Puttur Narasimha Nayak – Concert video – Part 2

In 2007, Shri Puttur Narasimha Nayak gave a memorable performance on account of Shri Datta Jayanti Celebrations at Mulund, Mumbai. The event was further enhanced by a prelude by Shri Kiran Kamath, followed by his divine harmonium accompaniment througout the function. We are glad to share with you two video recordings of the concert (part 2) for the joy of your divine ears!

Konkani children’s drama – Kundya Kurkula

Vishwa Konkani Kendra (www.vishwakonkani.org), among many of its initiatives promoting our mother tongue – Konkani, held a special Children’s theatre tour. Kundya Kurkula – a common folk tale was enacted by Konkani children, and was widely received with full houses across locations including Udupi, Bhatkal, Bangalore, Honnavar, Kumta and Karwar. Being a close associate with the Kendra for its online initiatives, Radio Idli takes great pleasure in featuring videos of the drama uploaded by the Vishwa Konkani Kendra. We would also like to thank Shri Madhur Bhandarkar for his request to feature the amazing performance.

Balachandra Prabhu’s Unique Gift

When a Gifted Artist – Balachandra Prabhu generously gifts something, its time for all ears to stop listening to anything else. That is how we would like to describe our experience, when Bala decided to gift this song to his dearest Nag-anna on his birthday, for pure divine delight of all Radio Idli listeners.
