The Konkani Association of Georgia (KAOG) is gearing up with its southern charm and hospitality, to host the Konkani Sammelan 2016. The two and a half day fun filled event will be held at the spectacular Georgia International Convention Center, in College Park, GA from July 1 – July 3 (Fri – Sun).

“Saat Chendi Chelyon” performance at Konkani Sammelan 2012 by Houston, Texas Team

Houston Konkanis performed a dance to the song “Saath Chendi Chelyon” on Sunday, July 1 at Konkani Sammelan 2012 , held in Edison, New Jersey.

The performance was a very big hit. The theme of the song was about the professional life, society has adopted, without giving importance to the family. The wives were frustrated about the professional nature of their husbands.

Konkani Sammelan 2012 – Kids Camp

“2012 Konkani Kids Camp” – Hospitality Committee had arranged a camp run by an accredited local YMCA. This was an opportunity for the kids to have his/her own special Sammelan experience, just a few feet away having fun, making new Konkani friends from all over USA and Canada. This camp also gave the kids, m a sense of independence, and nurtured the community spirit “Heart to Heart – home away from home”. We present some classic Konkani songs that were used to bring children closer to their home, their culture and their language.

Awaken the Konkani in You – Konkani Sammelan Report

We sincerely want to thank you for being a part of the “Awaken the Konkani in You” experience. The Santa Clara Convention Center was buzzing with Konkani chatter for three days. 1307 delegates from all parts of the world attended the convention. Most cherished was this opportunity to meet friends and relatives. The Panchadik Lounge with backdrops from Mangalore, Goa & Kumata was a perfect place for socializing.
