“Birds of a feather flock together” is a very old proverb that we are all familiar with. Two wise men viz. Dr Sudhakar Rao and Mr Seetharam Kamath had many a discussion in 1985 in bringing together the flock of Konkanis in the UK and the first meeting for this was held in May in 1986 at Kingsbury in London. Since then the Sabha has been growing in strength, gathering Konkanis both young and old, from up and down the country and from all walks of life to celebrate our rich cultural heritage and enjoy festivals together.

Manu Kamath thrilled us sometime back by sharing with us videos of his live performance. The star of Ahmedabad is back with a much more deeper composition. A Fusion which was a result of his jamming with his Sarod playing friend Avik. We share with you here an amazing fusion rendition of Vande Mataram (Rag Desh) on Sarod by Avik and Guitar by Manu. Radio Idli’s first and favorite artist – Archana Kamath, performed her magical spell of bhajans at the lotus feet of Shrimad Sudhindra Teertha Swamiji. She performed at the divine occassion of His Holiness’ Chaturmaas at Dahisar Shri Kashi Matth Samsthan. Shrinivas and Brahmi Shenoy – Mumbai concert
Young and talented Shrinivas Shenoy was introduced to us sometime back by his father Guruduth Shenoy. We have five videos of yet another spectacular performance of Shrinivas and his Sister Brahmi at Shri Ram Mandir Wadala, Mumbai. Listening to his rendition, it doesn’t take time to guess that his gifted voice and talent has its origin in a family that has always been doing seva to the Lord with their voice. Shrinvas’ Grandfather was a Bhajan veteran and his mother is a gifted singer too. The stage of Wadala, Shri Ram Mandir has given its due support to encourage and catch the artist young.

Sanat Prabhu, known on Radio Idli for his lovely songs, karaoke’s and the famous Kaapi with Sanat talk show series is bac..k after a break. This time he is back with a 20 min short film, he created in the final year of his engineering.The film is based on life of a studious final year student, who ends up learning a very important lesson beyond the textbook curriculum.
